Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is an Romanian TV presenter and actress. Her most well-known work is the main character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control as well as Rush. As the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. She began her showbiz career early. She was a lead actress in television dramas from as early as the age of 16. After her critically acclaimed role in the television film Der Tunnel, Alexandra went further to take on other memorable characters like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudljunge on Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and was praised by critics. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects over the years. This includes the British biographical Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time as well as French miniseries about the history of Napoleon. The actress also served on the jury at the Cannes Film Festival and the Transylvania International Film Festival.
